RGN “New Years Open” Online Tournament
RGN is pleased to announce that registration is now open for RGN “New YEars Open” Online Tournament! We at RGN would like to kick off 2015 with our 2rd of many official tournaments. Thanks to CEVO’s support, we have a reliable* system to host this event with many server locations to choose from. Team registration will remain open until 32 teams have registered or until Sunday, January 4th at 11:59 PM EDT.
When: January 5th through January 21st, 2015
Tournament Details
- $15.00 entree fee per player ($75.00 per team)
- Double Elimination (Bo3 UB) (Bo1 LB except LB Finals)
- Minimum of 3 matches played
- 32 teams maximum, with a max of 8 players 5 + 3 ringers per team (no rosters changes allowed once 1st game is played)
- Standard CEVO CS:GO rules and map pool
- Coverage by www.twitch.tv/goRGNtv
Entry Fee and Prize Pool
The entry fee per team is $75.00 per team or $15 per player. As teams register, the prize pool (after costs and fees) will be updated daily on the tournament event page. Teams must have at least 5 players paid in order to have a “ready” status and their spots reserved in the tournament.
Prize Pool and Breakdown:
$2,000.00 (if 32 teams complete registration)
- 1st Place: 50%
- 2nd Place: 35%
- 3rd Place: 15%
Map Pool
This tournament will be using the official CEVO map pool. Team captains will veto inside of the CEVO CS:GO Client.

Event Schedule
Teams will have the ability to schedule their matches up to the deadlines of double elimination rounds. No match extensions will likely be granted due to the quick nature of the tournament so be sureto be available on the schedule listed below and posted HERE:
Upper Bracket
Round of 32 - January 6th, 2015 at 9:00 PM EST
Round of 16 - January 8th, 2015 at 9:00 PM EST
Round of 8 - January 12th, 2015 at 9:00 PM EST
Round of 4 - January 14th, 2015 at 9:00 EST
Upper Bracket Finals - January 18th, 2015 at 9:00 EST
Grand Finals - January 21st, 2015 at 9:00 EST
LB Round 1 - Janaury 7th, 2015 at 9:00 PM EST
LB Round 7 - January 18th, 2015 at 9:00 PM EST
